I have recently changed podcast producer, thanks for everything over the past 3 years or so Matthew and Colin from The Podcast Host. However, my new producer unexpectedly became unavailable, so this is a bit of a DIY job this week, whilst I figure it all out.
However, this does allow me to share an update on the latest TPV Apprentice Programme with you. So, this is the second update from the current Apprentices in their own words, 55 days in. I am immensely proud of the progress all of these wonderful Apprentices are making, which as you will hear, has been quite a journey!
Hoping to get back to the Women in Property series next week, all being well.

Transcription of the show
Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Property Voice podcast. My name is Richard Brown and as always, it’s a pleasure to have you join me on the show again today.
I have recently changed podcast producer, thanks for everything over the past 3 years or so Matthew and Colin from The Podcast Host. However, my new producer then became unexpectedly unavailable, so this is a bit of a DIY job this week, whilst I figure it all out. Sorry if the quality is not as you had come to expect, therefore.
However, this does allow me to share an update on the latest TPV Apprentice Programme with you. So, this is the second update from the current Apprentices in their own words, 55 days into the 100-Day Programme. I am immensely proud of the progress these wonderful Apprentices are making, which as you will hear, has been quite a journey!
Hoping to get back to the Women in Property series next week, all being well.
So, let’s listen to what the Apprentices have to say next then…
Property Chatter
Audio update from Martin, Susan & Carl, three of the current TPV Apprentices.
Written update from Anthony
I am reading this written update out on behalf of one of the Apprentices, as not everyone is into social media and I promised this apprentice a safe space. I have permission to share a written update. He did mention that the reason he wanted to share because he has benefited so much that he does want others to know of the value of this program and the value being created on it.
Someday goal: Back to total financial freedom (but this time safe financial freedom) within 2 years. 100-Day goal: Get first rent to rent up and running.
My primary strategy is to get cash flow without borrowing through helping other landlords. Some landlords don't necessarily want to deal with their property or deal with it in a professional way to maximize its return (I know as I was one of them). Then once the cash flow is developed to start building my own assets. The secondary strategy of doing flips or buy refurbish rent - as they come up working with private investors. I had thought that flips were off the table, but I can see now a way of doing them in a safer way.
Aha or breakthrough moments since the last update after 55 days in, share one or more: So many. The main one is really understanding the numbers and being able to juggle all the variables which were my main stumbling block in the past. I have had major breakthroughs on this. It’s not a "one and done" but I know that the practice that I need to fully understand this will continue throughout the 100 days.
Mind-shift - knowing and understanding the value I am able to bring to the table. Knowing what I can do and knowing what I can't do is very powerful. Sometimes my value add is not for everyone and that is ok.
New skill - "Joyful exploration" I like to now call it. Knowing that I am investigating where I can add value to the world and help others is a great reward. Another new skill is tracking of actions/leads (just in google sheets) is a great way to follow up and also to see how far I am getting.
Continuing the journey of discovering my values is a forever fascinating journey with a seemingly infinite return on investment. The work done with Richard's team on this, with the help of Sue has given me essential new insights into what makes me tick and I am very sure this will continue in the program and beyond.
Insights: So many. Numbers primarily (which was my main need). I now have new ways of doing things. New ways of looking at things. New ways of dealing with challenges. Richard has given me much needed and much-appreciated challenge and support. Fair warning – it’s not all support. That doesn't work in my view. We do need to be challenged too (or at least I do), which Richard has been kind enough and brave enough to provide. Sue's work has re-kindled a life-long journey into the meaningful - I can't overemphasize the importance of Sue's work. Insights from Nina on the team: Practicality. Methodology. Getting it done. Insights from my fellow Apprentices: As well as tonnes of challenge and support too (we stress test our ideas and plans together) - they have shown me what being organized really means!
So, there you go. There’s not much more I need to add to that is there? All four of the Apprentices are making great strides forward as you can hear and nothing gives me more satisfaction than witnessing people realise what is possible and then begin to go and achieve it.
