New beginnings – Your Property Network (YPN) Magazine here I come!
2015 was a year of firsts or beginnings. 2016 I thought would be a year of progression, however, it seems to have some new beginnings of its own. I have an exciting announcement to share in today's show, along with a request for your help. I like to help people move forward on their property journey. They may be newbies just starting out with their first or second investment property. They may be at an early stage of the journey and seek an extra bit of guidance from someone who has trodden the same path. Or they may be more experienced investors and seek a new direction, challenge or are at a crossroads, or 'pivot point'. Today, I share a new beginning for me to support you if one of these descriptions sounds like you, so have a listen and join in.

Transcription of the show
Hello and welcome to another edition of The Property Voice Podcast, my name is Richard Brown and as always it is a pleasure to have you join me again on the show today.
I made it…sorry for the constant travel updates…I promise that’s all for now…well after a very brief update from today that is. Headline, I survived the final boys on tour leg of Thailand in one piece I am happy to say. I am a bit of a lightweight these days and so the thought of three days on the beer with the boys, some of which were doing eight days, was a little scary. However, after watching the sun come up two nights running, the third night was thankfully a watch the football and chill affair and allowed me to recover! Home safe and sound now as well, so if you did tire of hearing about my Asian adventure don’t worry it’s all over.
Now then what’s next on the agenda from a property perspective then? Well, how about what’s next on the agenda for any aspiring new property investors or those seeking a new start or direction…or in other words…it’s all about new beginnings.
Let’s see what that is all about in the main segment of the show then.
Property Chatter
2015 was a year of firsts:
In March I released my book: Property Investor Toolkit – a number one best seller on release, with steady sales and plenty of 5-star reviews to it's name since then. Thank you so much if you played a part in this either by buying the book or leaving a review.
In April this podcast was launched and since then over 30,000 people have listened to the show, again with a number of 5-star reviews being received. Thank you once again...there is still time to leave a review if you want to 🙂
In September, myself and Damien Fogg launched a training & mentoring company, which has helped so far hundreds of people to gain valuable knowledge and direction in their property journey.
So, 2016 was supposed to be a year of progression...but it seems there is room for another first as well...
The exciting news is that following an approach from Jayne Owen and Any Lyons from Your Property Network (YPN) Magazine, I was delighted to accept an offer to write a regular contribution each month.
The general theme is of 'New Beginnings'
Those newbies looking to embark on their first or second property investment
Those at an early stage of their property investment journey that seek greater guidance and support
Those who are more experienced or established and seek a new challenge, direction or have reached a 'pivot point' in their property journey and wish to make a change.
This will be where the monthly feature begins and I need your help to make it as relevant as possible. Send me your thoughts, suggestions and ideas as to what should be covered in the feature if you are or know someone that fits one of the descriptions above: podcast@thepropertyvoice.net
I am excited also about this new media for sharing property knowledge, indeed with books, podcasts, blogs and now a magazine there are plenty of options available to consume this valuable knowledge. We could look at video and social media as additional options going forward too; so I am excited to be a part of this I have to say.
So, get involved by mailing me your ideas and why not subscribe to the magazine as well...I would have (and indeed have done) recommended this to any property investor in any event.
Next week, I shall be looking at the topic of property valuations – a double-edged sword that can work with us or against us. Join me then to hear some of my recent experience in this respect.
You can always drop me a line, podcast@thepropertyvoice.net and the show notes as always can be found over at our website, www.thepropertyvoice.net
Meanwhile, as always, thank you for joining me on the show today and until next time on The Property Voice Podcast…it’s ciao ciao!
