I have been looking forward to this series for some time now…it’s all about Women in Property! As you are about to hear, we have some great guests lined up to share their stories over the course of the next few weeks, to act as inspiration and aspirational role models for both women and men alike. In addition, I spotted the fact that I am not a woman myself and so I decided to invite Helen Pollock to co-host this series with me to add even more femininity to it.
So, let’s hear a little about what we can expect over the course of the series, including deep themes like gender equality, subconscious bias and societal or cultural expectations of women in property, in business or in general. It’s not all serious stuff though, as we share a few personal insights and stories and even manage to get a Meet The Fockers reference in for good measure!

The John Barnes interview on BBC Question time about racism and discrimination here. Why is this relevant? Because we rarely admit our prejudices and as a result that holds us back from a deeper conversation where we can grow. This applies equally to gender I believe, which why I am referencing it today.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Property Voice podcast. My name is Richard Brown and as always, it’s a pleasure to have you join me on the show again today.
Right, here’s the conversation that Helen and I had to set the scene for this series right now.

So, there we have it…plenty to look forward to over the coming weeks as I am sure you will agree. Whilst the focus is on women in property, guys stick with us please, as I already know from some of the conversations we have already recorded with some of our guests that there is plenty for all of us to takeaway from this series. It is an important part of the diversity agenda and I am more than happy to help to give more women a voice and help other women to visualise that a career, business or just the odd BTL is possible, within reach and even bloomin’ enjoyable too!
OK, so that’s all for now. If you want to talk about anything from today’s show, or just talk property investing more generally, email me at podcast@thepropertyvoice.net, I would be happy to hear from you! The show notes can be found at our website www.thepropertyvoice.net
All that is left to say, is thank you very much for listening once again this week and until next time on The Property Voice Podcast…it’s ciao-ciao.
