“Environment is everything. Your friends can either kill dreams or inspire possibility. Choose...”

Motivation Monday - Richard's Insight
Scott Dinsmore is worth looking up. He quit his job, spent 4 years floundering around with a blog going nowhere. Then created an international revolution helping people to 'live their legend' or their true passion / calling. He died on Kilimanjaro aged 33, 9 months into a round the world adventure. His legacy lives on after him.
This is one of his Live Your Legend mission statements or values. It is a variation of the 'we are the product of the 5 people we spend most of our time with' principle. And it's powerful.
Our environment is everything as it helps to shape our thoughts. Positive, encouraging and uplifting, helps us to be the same. Negative, critical and depressing...well, you get the picture!
So, who are you spending most of your time with? Is it the positive, encouraging and uplifting types...or the other mob?
If we do want to grown, reach for lofty goals and be the best version of ourselves that we possibly can be...then we do need to be surrounded by the right people.
The last and very short sentence will be the toughest for most...choose. It means dropping, or at least reducing the time and relevance of the wrong people in our lives. That sounds harsh I know, but it will make the world of difference to you if you can do that, which I can vouch for personally!
Evaluate your environment and the people that you spend the most time with...and adjust accordingly!
