Well, they do say that small is beautiful!
I use a company called WP Curve to help me to maintain my WordPress site and they do a stella job I have to say! They sent me a message the other day asking me if I wanted them to do a 'favicon'... short for favourite icon I expect...for the site. I did not know what this meant but Wikipedia came to the rescue and explained all for me and get down with the kids a bit more lol
A favicon is a small version of a logo that you can use in certain situations. Think about the tabs on your web browser or an app symbol on your mobile phone and you get the idea. Here are some examples:

Other examples are when we have an Internet browser open and we can see little icons next to many of the websites we visit, like here:

Why have a favicon then? Well, mainly for brand recogniotion. Now when you have The Property Voice website open there is that little favicon symbol next to the title in the tab bar. The more you see it the more you will remember it...and of course remember me 🙂
In my case, there is another practical reason...my full logo is absolutely ginormous, which looks great in full view and can more or less fill up an email header or a large part of a page header. However, when it needs to be smaller such as in an avatar or something like that, then the cropping and resizing that takes place makes it look all wrong. The favicon is great for that.
So, there you have it...my brand spanking new The Property Voice favicon. It would be great to get your feedback on it - let me know what you think or maybe just share the image onto your preferred social network and spread the word... 😉
